WHAT A SHIT STORM: MY WEEK IN REVIEW

I hadn’t planned this to be my next post, as I was writing a piece on my family tree, which will be available soon. But I’ll keep this brief.
My week started out promising — excitable, even. I had something to look forward to and some spare time ahead to dig further into my family tree and share my experience with you.
Then came the shit storm. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we had a shit storm forecast? Then we could just press the avoid button until it's over.

And then there's the printer. Why is it that I can replace
my toner cartridges all the bloody time, yet suddenly couldn't figure out which
cartridge went where? Imagine how stumped I was. Agh, brain fog — you've got a
lot to answer for! I knew my brain wanted a holiday, but it's time to come home
now.
I was having my eScript filled and found myself looking for my mobile phone in my bag after I’d given it to the pharmacist to scan the barcode.
And then there’s me explaining to a shop assistant that if I sound vague, it’s because of my ADHD. I feel the need to explain myself before they get the wrong impression, but then instantly regret saying anything because I’m not even sure I needed to explain it in the first place.
Just me talking mush again.

I also left my grab-and-go hot chocolate drink behind somewhere — probably in the same place where I tried tapping a $10 note on an EFTPOS machine. I won’t be going back there anytime soon.
I suddenly feel lighter for getting this off my chest. It always looks better when it’s written down.
Oh, and this time it was my ditzy sister's turn to try getting into the wrong car when we were out shopping the other day. It wasn't even the same make as her own. In some warped way, I saw it as a small victory for me.
But today, she went one better. She literally got into a stranger's car — her husband in the car right next door. The poor bugger must have thought all his Christmases had come at once. He even gave her husband the thumbs-up!
I mean, seriously, the words “you couldn't make this shit up” are becoming the family's catchphrase. Life's never dull around here. 🤣
I guess that's a wrap-up.
If you’re reading this, thanks for listening 💛
I do talk to myself a lot. But who’s they who says answering yourself is the first sign of madness? I call hogwash on that one. 😛
Until next time.
